Supplemental Security Income eligibility

If you are a disabled person living in the state of Indiana, it is important that you know what your rights are to benefits. If you are struggling to gain a meaningful income because of your disability, it is likely that you will be entitled to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. These benefits are generally allocated on a needs basis.

SSI benefits can be granted to both adults of a working age, children and retired people. Their purpose is to help people to financially live a certain standard of life, and to help with certain medical costs that the disabled person is likely to face.

Who is eligible for disability benefits?

You may be eligible for disability benefits and will be able to apply online if you meet certain requirements. You can apply online at the website. If you are between 18 and 65, have never been married and you are not blind, it is likely that you will be able to make you application successfully on the website. In addition to these requirements, you must reside in the United States as well as be a United States citizen, and you should not have applied for SSI benefits before.

After making your online application for SSI benefits, you do not need to take any further action. A Social Security representative will contact you in regard to your application after it has been reviewed.

If you are struggling financially as a disabled person, it is important that you take advantage of your rights to benefits in Indiana. Make sure that you take the time to understand how the law works.
